User accounts represent the people who interact with your website. Depending on your site’s features, users can:
- Log in to their account
- Post comments
- Place orders
- Leave product reviews or questions
- Manage their profile information
The User Edit Page allows administrators to view and manage all details related to a specific user.
User Information
From the user admin page, you can edit core profile details:
- Username
- First & Last Name
- Phone Number
- Website
- Email Address
- Display Name
- User Group (if groups are enabled)
- Status (Active / Inactive)
These fields help identify the user and control their access to the site.
Avatar & Cover Image
You can upload or change:
- Avatar - shown in comments, reviews, and profile areas
- Cover Image - displayed on the user’s public profile page (if supported by the theme)
Biography
A rich‑text editor allows you to add or edit the user’s biography.
This content may appear on author pages or profile sections depending on your theme.
Security Options
Password Reset
You can set a new password for the user directly from the admin panel.
Two‑Factor Authentication
If enabled, you can configure or reset the user’s 2FA settings.
Last Updated
Shows when the user profile was last modified.
Orders & Addresses
If ecommerce is enabled, the user page also displays:
- Orders - list of purchases made by the user
- Addresses - billing and shipping addresses
This makes it easy to assist customers or troubleshoot order issues.
Login as User
Administrators can log in as the user for troubleshooting.
This is useful when:
- A user reports an issue with their account
- You need to verify what they see
- You want to test permissions or checkout flows
This action helps diagnose problems without needing the user’s password.
