Every time a post or page is saved, Vvveb stores a revision - a snapshot of the content at that moment. Revisions let you review what changed over time and roll back to an earlier version if needed.

Revisions are available from the post/page editor through the Revisions button, or from the revisions list where you can compare and restore previous versions.

How revisions work

  • A new revision is created each time the content is saved (with changes)
  • Each revision keeps the author and the date it was created
  • The current content always lives on the post itself; revisions are historical copies

Restoring a revision

  1. Open the post in the editor
  2. Click Revisions Browse the list of saved versions - each shows date and author
  3. Load a revision to preview its content
  4. Click Restore to make that version the current content

Restoring creates a new save, so the replaced content is itself kept as a newer revision. You can always go back.

Previewing before restore

Use the preview endpoint (/preview/post/{slug}?created_at=...) to view a revision as it would appear on the site before deciding to restore it. Admin users are able to open previews for unpublished states; regular visitors never see draft or revised content.
