The Currency page allows you to configure how a specific currency is displayed and used throughout your store. Each currency can be customized with its own symbol, formatting, and conversion value relative to the base currency.

Currency

What You Can Edit

Name

The readable name of the currency (e.g., US Dollar, Euro, Romanian Leu).

Code

The ISO currency code, such as:

  • USD
  • EUR
  • RON

This code is used internally for calculations and integrations.

Symbol (Sign Start / Sign End)

Controls how the currency symbol appears:

  • Sign start — symbol before the amount (e.g., $100)
  • Sign end — symbol after the amount (e.g., 100€)

You can configure either or both depending on your formatting needs.

Decimal Places

Defines how many decimals the currency uses (typically 2).
Some currencies use 0 or 3 decimals depending on local standards.

Value

The conversion rate relative to the base currency.

Examples:

  • If USD is your base currency, USD = 1
  • If EUR is worth 1.1 USD, set EUR value to 1.1
  • If RON is worth 0.20 USD, set RON value to 0.20

This value is used for automatic price conversions when needed.

Status

Controls whether the currency is Active or Inactive.

Only active currencies can be selected by customers or used in product pricing.
