User groups bundle permissions so access rules are assigned to groups rather than to each user individually - e.g. Customers, Wholesale customers, Editors.
Default groups
Vvveb ships with at least one default customer group. New registrations land in the group configured in site settings.
Creating groups
- Go to Customers → User groups Click Add Name the group (e.g. "Wholesale") and save
Assign users to groups from the user edit page.
What groups control
- Catalog prices - plugins can show group-specific pricing
- Access rules - which store features a group may use
- Grouping for marketing/newsletter segmentation
Admin-side authorization uses admin roles, separate from customer groups.
