Adding a custom type
Plugins register custom types (e.g. the portfolio plugin adds one). Developers can also define user types stored as settings. Each type gets:
- Its own slug prefix and URL pattern via routes
- Its own templates in the theme (
content/<type>.html) - Editor support identical to posts
Once registered, custom types appear in the admin menu and are edited exactly like posts.
