With gift vouchers you can give credit to customers that can be used to deduct payment when buying products.

Vouchers have a code and a value; the customer enters the code at checkout and the voucher amount is subtracted from the order total. A voucher can be limited by date and by number of uses.

Creating a voucher

  1. Go to Sales → Vouchers Click Add Set:
    • Code - entered by the customer at checkout
    • Amount - the credit value
    • Status / dates - active window (from – to)
  2. Save

How customers redeem them

At checkout there is a voucher field next to the payment step. Entering a valid, active code applies the credit to the cart. If the order total is smaller than the voucher, the remainder stays available for future orders until it expires.

Tips

  • Issue unique codes for campaigns so usage can be tracked per campaign
  • Deactivate a voucher instead of deleting it to keep order history consistent
