The layout

The admin uses a left sidebar grouped by area:

Dashboard Activity summary and quick actions
Content Posts, pages, categories, tags, menus, comments
Media Image and file library
Products (shop) Catalog: products, categories, attributes, options
Sales (shop) Orders, returns, subscriptions, coupons, vouchers
Analytics (shop) Orders, revenue, traffic reports
Users / Admin Customers, admins, roles and groups
Localization Languages, currencies, countries, regions, taxes
Plugins & Themes Extend and restyle the site
Settings Site configuration, statuses, types
Tools Backup, import/export, cache, logs, updates

First steps

  1. Configure your site - title, description, logo
  2. Write your first post
  3. Set up languages if needed
  4. For stores: add products, then a payment plugin
  5. Run the SEO plugin's setup wizard
