Vvveb is multilingual: content can exist in several languages and the admin interface/theme strings can be translated. The translation helpers let you see and manage how a piece of text is translated across every configured language.
Translating a string
From the editor's translate dialog you can enter one source text and provide the translated value for each available language at once. The values are stored in the matching language translation files (locale/<lang>/LC_MESSAGES).
Translation domains
Strings live in domains - groups per theme/plugin/admin core. When translating you pick the domain matching where the string is used, which keeps themes and plugins independent from each other.
Workflow
- Choose the target language
- Pick the domain (theme, plugin or app)
- Search for the string or add a new one
- Save - the translation is compiled and used immediately on the frontend
